Friend Network Development for Mobile App

Refresh Wellness is a platform being developed by Refresh Inc. This mental wellness application will offer a variety of feature and functions for both the general public as well as organizations to track moods, insights, and overall mental wellbeing. Current features built into Refresh Wellness include a mood log and journal, insights, online mental wellness resources, a directory of North American community supports, and more. With time, Refresh Wellness intends to add a social dimension to our community, the first step of which is creating a Friend Network that will allow users to add other users as friends and share their favourite resources. The application is lacking any kind of social aspect - a function that many of our stakeholders and community partners are eagerly requesting. Therefore we are searching for new team members to support the development of this function. Students will work alongside our UI/UX team, product manager, and Development team to create and implement a working prototype of the Friends Network feature that can be deployed to our app in the next large public update.

Refresh Wellness App - UX/UI Design

Refresh is welcoming students to join our design team by participating in our UX/UI project. The project involves developing new UI/UX experiences and improving the existing UIs. Working as a UX Design Intern you will have the opportunity to drive outstanding user experience on our web and mobile products. The interns will be working with our design lead and will receive supervision throughout this project. This project also involves participating in group meetings which will provide a great opportunity for the student to share their ideas and receive feedback from the team. Refresh Wellness App - Alpha/Beta Testing

Data Science & UI/UX Design

Number of students required to work in teams: 9 students. Refresh is welcoming students to join our R&D team by taking on projects with a focus on AL/ML and and application development in mental health. The whole project will be defined in consecutive phases, where the result obtained from each phase will set the direction for the future phases. Reporting to the Research Lead at Refresh, the interns will be part of a team that is working on different aspects of the project simultaneously. (Customer Journey Map Team) This team will be converting our selected models into an outstanding user experience on our web and mobile products. This will include creating user journey maps and developing relative UX/UIs using XD. (Data visualization Team) This team will be working on data design which is outcome-driven and deeply rooted in research. We are welcoming the student who can create engaging designs which enables our users to connect with, engage with and reflect upon it.
