Small Towns of Canada | Digital Content for 1000towns.ca
Number of individual students required: 15 students, any Province or Territory, Canada 1000 Towns of Canada 1000towns.ca is a digital platform connecting small town communities and travellers. We launched about 200 unique pages of Top Places to Visit in the Town. We would like students to participate in creating content about small Canadian towns that are aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. You can check existing pages on 1000towns.ca/explorer to clarify the format. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Choose 10 small towns in any province/territory Write a short description of each attraction 'Communicate with local communities for feedback After approval of the 1000 Towns of Canada team, the final content will be published as unique town pages on 1000towns.ca. If you like the enjoyment of travelling off-the-beaten-path, then we'd love to hear from you.

Community Resources Research
Having a mental wellness app requires having some kind of resource for users in crisis. Instead of simply providing a 911 phone number, a list of local resources for different needs will be able to better support individuals having a mental wellness crisis or emergency, or who simply donβt know where to turn. The goal of this project is to provide our app users with a list of local community resources to call or reach out to based on their geolocation in the case of a mental wellness emergency. The research will include: Scoping out community resources in North America (all provinces, territories, and states) Compiling community contacts/resources Validating/vetting contacts and their services

Mental Health App Language Review
The Refresh Wellness platform will be launching as a mobile app at the end of December, 2022. Before we can release the app we need to complete a full review of the language and copy to ensure it's accessible for our target users. This project will be completed separately by two different students in order for the Project Manager to see different perspectives of the app. The resulting projects will be reviewed by the Project Manager and UI/UX team to make the best decisions for the mobile application. The goal of this project is to complete a review of the language/copy in the Refresh Wellness app to offer changes and suggestions before we launch the app publicly. Project tasks will be: Reviewing all language and copy used on all screens of the Refresh Wellness app Suggesting emotion synonyms for the journal screens Editing language/copy to reflect an 6th-8th grade reading level
