In this course, student consultants from the Bryan School of Business and Economics will create or revise an incident response plan that you can deploy to mitigate the impact of attacks and threats. Students can also work on cybersecurity related projects such as the following.
Task 1: Understand Different Employees’ Perspectives of Cybersecurity
Task 2: Understand the Information Risks within an Organization
Task 3: Business Continuity Planning
Task 4: The Security of Cloud Computing Architectures
Task 5: The Blockchain application during COVID-19 pandemic
Learners
The final project deliverable will include documents outlining:
- An Incident Response Plan,
- Incident Response Playbooks,
- Responses to outline steps to be taken during cyber security incidents,
- Presentations outlining how to leverage tools

Project Examples
Requirements
In teams of 1-5, students will work together to develop or revise an incident response plan and playbook to be able to respond to such attacks and threats. Students can investigate incidents, develop, refine and test your incident management plans; organize and train response teams; develop corrective actions; integrate incident management plans with a disaster recovery plans; business continuity plans, and will present findings and tools needed to mitigate these risks.
Project examples include:
- Developing cybersecurity incident response plans
- Developing detailed incident response playbooks
- Answering questions related to a cybersecurity incident scenario
- Leveraging tools and technologies related to handling and responding to cybersecurity incidents
